2008 Teacher Workshops
This 1-credit teacher continuing education workshop will open your eyes to the wonderful landscape called rangeland in Idaho. Learn more about Idaho's wild open spaces at this hands-on, cross curricular, exciting new workshop. Take home items will include posters, Idaho plant identification books, classroom activities, and the new interactive CD called "Home on the Range". The CD was recently developed by a graduate student at the University of Idaho to give in the classroom a small tour of Idaho's wild open spaces. Where: Rigby Cost: $50 reserves your spot in the class (drinks, snacks, and lunch on Sat. are provided). One continuing education credit from the UI at $86. This interdisciplinary workshop will provide hands-on assessment techniques, field trips, resource materials, and a great location in which to learn. WHO: University of Idaho, Dept. of Rangeland Ecology and Management professor Dr. Karen Launchbaugh is the instructor. WHERE: U of I Field Campus on beautiful Payette Lake in McCall, Idaho.
