2008 Teacher Workshops
This 1-credit teacher continuing education workshop will open your eyes to the wonderful landscape called rangeland in Idaho. Learn more about Idaho's wild open spaces at this hands-on, cross curricular, exciting new workshop.
Take home items will include posters, Idaho plant identification books, classroom activities, and the new interactive CD called "Home on the Range". The CD was recently developed by a graduate student at the University of Idaho to give in the classroom a small tour of Idaho's wild open spaces.
Where: Rigby
Cost: $50 reserves your spot in the class (drinks, snacks, and lunch on Sat. are provided). One continuing education credit from the UI at $86.

Nearly half of Idaho is classified as rangeland! Learn more about this abundant resource and how to bring it into your classroom. Take the environment in which you live and let it enhance your curriculum. This interdisciplinary workshop will provide hands-on assessment techniques, field trips, resource materials, and a great location in which to learn.
WHO: University of Idaho, Dept. of Rangeland Ecology and Management professor Dr. Karen Launchbaugh is the instructor.
WHERE: U of I Field Campus on beautiful Payette Lake in McCall, Idaho.
COST: GREAT DEAL!—$75 registration fee before March 30, $100 after! Registration fee covers all materials, field trips, meals, and four nights lodging at the field campus! Send in your registration form and fee no later than June 18 to ensure your spot in this workshop.
